New Shows

I watched a couple of new shows tonight. I am a little embarrassed to even tell which ones I watched. They are so silly and trashy. OK, I said it. Well, most people who know me KNOW that I LOVE reality TV shows. So tonight I watched (cringe) I Love New York (the sequel to Flava Flavs show Flavor of Love - yes I watched that one too!) AND The White Rapper Show. PEOPLE!!!! These shows are such a waste of my time. I could have been doing laundry or packing lunches for our first day back to school tomorrow (again, cringe!), but NO I was watching this trash. And the sad thing is I probably will continue to watch. What is wrong with me?????

  • Nothing is wrong with you! We all get sucked into things like that!

Next time switch the channel to TLC. Very educational reality TV with really amazing people doing their best to get by. I got sucked in last night because a paralized woman was pregnant. It was a cool story... then I got sucked in even more after that show with "the woman with half a body"... half a woman who gave birth and raises her son the best she can. AMAZING!

  • I know I've been caught watching Flav once in a while. It's like watching a car wreak, you just can't help it!

  • I have never even heard of those shows, and I feel that I am a reality tv junkie. What network do they come on??

  • We all have out guilty pleasures. Mine aren't TV related but you'd be appalled if I told you how much time I spend browsing on eBay, reading the message boards. When I do watch TV, it's usually after the kids are in bed, and then it's all the true crime stuff on Court TV ("Forensic Files" etc.)

  • And you are the same woman with the self-discipline to run (and drag me along) 15 miles in the first 5 days of the new year??!!

  • I'm such a sucker for reality TV too! It doesn't matter which channel or show, I'll watch almost anything, sadly. My faves are Survivor, The Amazing Race, Miami Ink, and almost anything on MTV. We just got TiVo for Christmas---not a good idea for someone who already watches too much TV, but I LOVE it!!

  • I just don't get the reality shows anymore, personally. I mean come ON. Do they really think they're getting an honest deal when they sign up for the reality shows? I always love it when the people on the shows are shocked at the lack of privacy and honesty they get when on them... Where've they BEEN for the past 20 years?!?

  • Oh gosh, I don't know. I can't STAND the VH1 reality shows, but I can get sucked into some others that probably aren't much better... so, you are not alone!!

  • Nothing wrong with you that I can tell, because if there is something wrong with you....I must have it too! Hahaha
I didn't watch Flava of Love, but I happened to see the reunion show & saw New York. Well, now anytime I see I Love NY, on (b/c it reairs over & over), I find myself watching it.
