Who took a nap today??
I always make my two kids that are still home Parker (5), and Jude (2 1/2) lay down for a nap. Now granted Parker is getting to the age where she is not so excited about sleeping. She is always a champ though at laying down and reading OR just resting.
Cut to today where I was SO tired (went to sleep at 4AM and got up at 7am) so we were for SURE laying down today. Jude and I fell fast asleep no problem, but I knew Parker did not fall asleep today. SO, when we went to pick the other 2 girls from school, she starts hitting her foot on her seat in the car. OOOHHing and OUCHing making all kinds of ruckus. It kind of scared me at first, but then I could hear her saying, "My foot is hurting, my foot is hurting (while laughing)!!!" I told her that it was probably just asleep. So then, she says, "I guess my foot was tired today and not my head. Cause it didn't go to sleep today." So there you have it. Parker's foot was the one that took the nap today. NOT her head. :)

Out of the mouths of babes! I *love* her comment.
Thanks for your kind words on my blog. I just started reading yours and have bookmarked it so I can come back for more. I was excited to learn that you are a mom of 4 kids! I only have 3 now but that will soon change. I'll need all the advice I can find on how to survive :)

You have a 5 year old that naps? Sarah stopped napping consistantly around 3....she occassionally does.
Lucky you.

Parker is so cute I swear. Yeah, Dylan quit taking naps a LONG time ago. So did Cameron. They will lay down & nap w/ me if I FORCE them..but I rarely nap during the week, so I don't see the point in making them. Plus they go to be EARLY at night..so that part rocks. Now Sunday....they KNOW that day included a nap. Its one of our meaningful family "traditions".

Hi there. I was on another blog and saw yours. My kids our now grown, but I remember all too well those days when they were that little and sleep was a vague memory.
I liked your blog and wanted to let you know that. Have you ever read any Ted Dekker books. If you like Peritti you would enjoy him.

Parker sounds like a smartie!!Hehehe I tried to take a nap on the couch today too. I was pretty wiped out from our long weekend, but my Mr. Roman (14 months old) couldnt resist wollering all over me. What is it with babies and mommies trying to take naps? Im just glad I survived the mutant baby attack!

It's a sad day when they no longer need a nap. I NEED the nap--or at least their naptime.

I think my oldest quit napping at 3 years old and my youngest at 2...no rest for mom! Although, they did go to bed really early which was nice!
Enjoy the naps!!

Your Parker sounds so sweet..I know nap time is precious!! I have to lay down to put my little Hailey down for her nap and I find myself falling asleep half of the time. I never did that with the other 2. Either she keeps me hopping more or I'm just getting old!! Probably both.

Awww! Ha ha! I will be soooo upset once nap time is no longer needed. That's a good three hours I have to myself! Now that I bragged, today will be the last day they ever nap. I hate it when that happens!
BTW, Lindsay showed me a sample of my blog template that she's working on and it is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute! I love it! Thank you, Lindsay!!! She is so good at what she does!!!! I couldn't be happier! Now I just can't wait to get it up and running! No more girl in her undies!

You have the best stories! Out of the mouth of babes!

I love that!! It sounds like something that Kaylee would say. We have had a hard time with naps too lately. I told her all she has to do is lay down queitly. What do I hear...a closet doo opening, kicking on the wall, jumping, and talking. Sounds quiet to me:)
Also just write me down for anytime you would like to go to Dallas, I am always up for a trip there.
