WOW! It's Cold!
I know, I know. It was the title that pulled you in this time wasn't it? So original. What can I say? I just good like that.
Well, I know so many of you do not live in Texas, but you just have to know that this is crazy weather for us Texans. We are not used to this ice and snow. Cold is usually all we get from Old Man Winter,so this is stirring things up a bit. All the schools in the smaller surrounding towns must have not thought that their parents could drive on an inch of snow, because they were all out of school today. My parents live in West Texas and they didn't have school. I know there were a lot of Dallas schools who were also out today. What about US you ask? Well, we DID have school. And no I'm not bitter, OK? One good thing, we got to start late today, which made it possible for us to sleep in. (You know I loved that!) YEAH!!
I went ahead and took a picture of our house with the little bit of snow that fell on it. I missed out on doing it the last time it snowed. I just love the way snow makes everything look. (yes - even an inch. HA!)
We are suppose to be having work (Mother's Day Out) tomorrow. I am hoping for at LEAST a late start. All we need is just a little bit more moisture on the ground tonight. YES, I'm sick of the cold, wet snow, but I can handle it for one more day. Come on late start!!

Your house is so pretty!! Have you read Kristi's blog (do you read her?? Here-in-idaho??) because she totally made fun of you Texans today!! LOL. It was funny. She called herself a weather snob because of it. LOL. We still have no snow.

Aww...I'm sorry you didn't get to join in our day off today! Just move out here with me & we could have had the day off together!! =) Your house looks beautiful...I LOVE snow pictures of my houses. I have one of every house I've ever lived in BUT this one...you know...the one we just built & are SO proud of? Makes sense right? I don't know why I didn't think of that today!! Bummer. Maybe we'll be blessed w/ more than one snow this year & I'll get another chance.

What a cute house! I really like yellow houses, they just look so pretty.
I'm working in CA right now and everyone here is freezing too. I mean, 27* at night, that's a big drop for them. In Utah right now, it's like 9*. As a high. During the day. I showed up to one of my appointments the other day in a short sleeved shirt and the lady I was meeting with came in a wool winter coat, gloves, and huge scarf. It was pretty funny. I am not a fan of the cold, so being here in the sunshine surrounded by palm trees is nice.

Lovely house with your dusting of snow! My poor kids haven't had a snow day yet - and we've had icestorms, snowstorms and -40 weather. They're getting ripped off!

Your house is beautiful! Yesterday morning I woke up and it was 6 degrees out! At least we finally have snow. Love it! We have family in Louisiana and one Christmas we were down there it actually snowed. It was just about an inch, if that, and they were going to close the school and people couldn't drive- it was hilarious (I say this because I am from the midwest!!)

It looks like a Home. It looks warm in there. Norman Rockwell type of home.

My best buddy lives in San Antonio and told me school was canceled for an hour because of freezing weather. I laughed since it's in the teens up here in the midwest and Matt is still in school daily. It's kinda like Alaska having a heat wave without A/C. :) Seriously, who would have thought TX would be under a WINTER STORM WARNING???????

I love snow! Beautiful house, btw. Every now and then, Dear Hubby and I consider ditching life in Louisiana and heading to the Austin/Pflugerville area. We're not that cold here - 40's - but because of the humidity it's a damp cold, ykwim? I would prefer the drier teens in the Washington DC than 40's here. Ick.

Oooooh! An inch. That's about what we have too. Pointless snow, if you ask me. Can't play in it, can't sled in it. But you still get your feet wet.

I couldn't believe the weather report - Austin, Tx; Malibu, CA all getting what we get to enjoy on an annual basis. We had a slow start to winter this year but we definetly have a true Canadian winter now!
I love your house, any peaks into the inside????

That is such a cute house. Makes me want to see how you've decorated.

I love your house. I too love the way snow makes everything look. but I'm sorry I do have to LOL I wouldn't even call that a snow :) that is just a dusting of snow :)
My sister lives in the DFW area and my niece is loving her dusting of snow ;) She called me up and was so excited. I guess she doesn't remember 2 winters ago when she came to see me at christmas and we had snow drifts up to the top of my garage doors. Then again she was only 3 at the time. enjoy your snow, my kids haven't had a singel snow day this year and they are bummed they are use to at least 5 and sometimes like 12. I hope you get your late start tomorrow.

What a cute house! Down in Houston we just got a bunch of wet! Waiting impatiently for it to warm up...

Oh, I love your house! I want an older home with character. We're in ou' CRAP! I just erased about 2 paragraphs worth of reply.
Anyway, we live in a 60's house. Yuck. And since I'm in such a hurry, I'm replying here to all your cute posts I got to read. I wish I could visit every day! I love it when you leave me comments. You're so funny!
Ummm...oh, I know it's a big deal when you say your dad is an ath. dir. in Odessa!!! I'm a West Texas girl, too. Married a boy from Midland...sorry. ;-) Not Midland Lee though.
Um....oh! Love the info on skin care, etc. I never knew Mac was so great, but I hear of it often. I wonder if Abilene has that in our Dillards?
Mary Kay skin care breaks my face out, so I've been using BeautiControl acne care system. I'm 32 years old! WHY!?! I heard Mary Kay (of course a dermatologist who sold a different brand cosmetic told me this) is the worst product for your skin if you're prone to break outs. Of course, I still want to try their foundation again. I used to like it.
Bored enough yet? Better go make sure the mac n cheese wheels are being eaten and not thrown...
oh! I have one child who will eat the fruit bars, the other two squish them and make a huge mess. So annoying! But thank you for giving me food ideas. I'm still looking for suggestions. :D
